Several “low-cost” companies (TUI, Transavia, Easyjet, Neosair, Thomsonfly …) fly to islands Sal  and Boa Vista in  Cape Verde!  From there it is necessary to join Praia by the TACV, it is  generally not cheaper and the connections with  TACV are chaotic (TACV is never  on time)

On arrival at the airport of Praia it will be necessary to buy your entrance visa valid for one month! Therefore one has to queue up in the line “VISA”, the first counter to the left, the process is very slow! The cost is 25€ a person to pay in cash!!

How to move on the Santiago Island?

There are 3 methods

1/There are minibuses called  “Hiace” who circulate throughout  the island, they go almost everywhere for few money! They however have no schedule and leave their place of origin only when  they are almost full! It is necessary to arrange with the driver for the price and the destination!

2/Paulino is a taxi driver and can take you everywhere in its taxi or in one 4×4 at his disposal at the Villa! A whole day with a car 4 seats with Paulino costs 80 €.
3/A car rental is possible! For a “negotiated” price, ask Paulino!

There is a detailed map of the island at disposal during the stay or to buy (20€) from the villa.

How to move between islands

By plane,  TACV and BINTER fly between islands, for schedules and price consult www.flytacv.com or www.binter.cv

By boat, there are connections by boat between  Santiago Island and Fogo, Brava and São Nicolau!
For schedules and price, ask Paulino! It changes all the time!
